    HOTEP FAMILY!
I was doing some reading in "sacred woman" by Queen Afua and came across this..

"The lives of the citizens of Khemet were centered around the temple, much like the state capitol or city hall of modern times. Reverence for the Divine permeated all aspects of life in Khemet. The culture was spiritual not religious. Religion is modern, whereas spirituality is primordial. The very word "religion" is drawn from the Latin word re-ligare or religio, which means to tie back or tie again. Since the people of Khemet saw their lives as intrinsically connected to Divinity there was no reason to be tied. It was those who saw themselves as alienated from the Divine who invented religion and its attendant competitive dogmas to tie them fast to their spiritual vision."

    I was like :jawdrop: Thoughts..comments?

    My Gift to Queen Afua

I wrote this for Queen Afua after following her fast.

    Purification

    Here's knowledge for our daughters
    Live foods will suffice
    Fresh pressed juices and water
    Herbs and spice
    Fast, eat greens, meditate, pray
Be it internal or external purification is the way

Massage those aches and pains away
Take in the breath of life
    Steam bath, exercise,
    reduce your stress, your strife
Sage, epsom salts, eucalyptus oil, too
    Hydrotherapy, aromatherapy,
    purification through and through

No one said it would be easy
Seldom is the path of right
    With steadfast determination
    You are a shining light
    As you begin your journey
    Just before you start
    Most importantly don't forget
    Purification of the heart.

This is what I've been striving to convey on here, ever since I first arrive here.

As a practicioner of Kemetian Theology myself, I can say with absolute certainty that Kemet was not EVER about worshipping animals, sacrificing humans or any of that garbage.

All those ideas come from primitive-thinking Europeans who think they know everything (but in reality known nothing), as well as Bible teachings on the matter.

Ancient Kemet was right on par with Modern-Day Buddhism.

Samurai, I would love to talk with you about Kemetian Theology. Yes Europeans always try to devalue/put down other ways of thinking. The most common fatal error is that people believe people of Kemet were pagans...believing in many Gods and Godesses...when they were really all attributes of G-D...

    Heru Nefer (Good Morning) Queen:

I would be honored to discuss the Mesush Metut (Divine Principles) with you.

And you are very correct: the Kemau admonished against making any one of the Neteru (gods and goddesses) into a single deity of their own.

They were always meant to be seen as aspects of the ONE GOD, as well as aspects of the human Kha (Spirit).
