Just heard on the news that Kerry called "President" Bush and conceded the election and will hold a public announcement at 1:00pm eastern time.

Anyone have thoughts on the election

I think we're going to have a jacked up 4 years. I also think the South is a major disappointment.

we have been through this stuff before and we will have to do it all over again.
we are going to have to pull our selves together.
we have got to clean up our act.
we have got to reach our youth somehow.

when i turn on BET, i see non stop party.
i've often wanted to ask the youth what they are partying about?

we are going to have to turn it around morally and spiritually.
we have too many brainwashed black folks running around.

we went through this before and we won.

I am so upset right now I can't put it into words. Our country is halfway down the toilet already, so here comes the rest of the way. I am so fearful of the next four years, so sick to my stomach right now. I can't believe this is the way it's meant to be. Our country is full of stupid people, and that's really depressing.

i went to sleep wit hope next to me last night..... and woke up not surprised.
somehow- in this messed up place- my voters card got sent to my moms house this past weekend, 4 hours away from school, and i have no car. i never realized until then how important it was to me to vote, because i became so mad.

for the past 3 days i have been wearing a shirt everywhere, that says- front- fu.. bush- with the bird and the us in the backround, and the back- if u love bush... kiss my as... - i figured vote or die wasnt enouf any more
    ( my teachers loved it)

but i wanted ot vote so bad i skipped class, hopped in a car wit some girl that was goign where i was , and drove some total 7 hours home.

personally im just waitng for it to hit americans that we have the same old lame president as befroe, im waitign to see the aftermath. cuz i dont people have begun to understand enouf- cuz if they did he would have been gone.

I think ALL of US should be scared as heck after this election. This is scarier than what happened in 2000. If you're poor now, many of us who think we're not will be joining you and soon. It really doesn't and shouldn't matter, but I'm curious as to the demographic breakdown of the voters. I just don't see what others saw in Bush. What was it about him that made people want to vote FOR him? Obviously many people thought he is good for them and the country as a whole. Do people realize what they did when they signed and guaranteed this man's paycheck for the next four years? I'm approaching retirement age, I think it's a good time to think about not only retirement, but where else I might want to live.

and on BET, the youth will still be partying.......

this was done through the church.
Pat Robertson said Bush was blessed and old black people were turned around.
this is the danger of mindless religion.

once the head of the church was co opted, the church became a weapon against the people.
    welcome to the dark ages.

I'm ready to move to Canada. Well seriously...I'm very disappointed and although Bush won both the electoral AND popular vote, I sincerely hope like he!! they get rid of the electoral voting process. 270 votes should not represent the majority.
