Hey Sayword, Welcome to the forum. I haven't heard her entire album but I have heard the 'Milkshake" song, I'm not trying to diss the sista or anything(I think that she has talent) but I think the song is stupid. I also find the video to the "Milkshake" song to be boring, it seems like she's trying to hard to be "sexy" in that video. Hopefully the rest of the songs on her album are better.

p.s. There were 2 songs from her first album that I liked..

    WACK!!!!

Milshak’e song is very corny. The lyrics to the song are something I would expect for a third grader to come up with. And the voice….she can’t sing for jack.

    Kelis..has a very unique style
I've never really kept her music
on rotation because I felt the last
    album was a bit eccentric...but
the new one I spent a bit more time
listening to it and was able to find
a few tracks near the end where she
started to groove a little, particularly
    track 14 "stick up"

    although Milkshake doesn't seem to
be very popular, gathering this from
    your previous comments...I do feel
this album is much stronger than
    the last two.

Didn't Kelis do a song years ago and the video was on MTV-I Hate You...ARRRRGH! If that is her, she comes over moreso as weird (in my opinion and not in a bad way) than anything.

I enjoy Kelis' latest album very much. I believe her first is the best of them all, however. A few tracks stick out tremendously for me and they are:

Trick Me (good deal with the production)
Protect My Heart (has a good break dance feel to it, very danceable)
Millionaire (this song reminds me of a Prince track SO much - Andre 3000, whatever you're going through - thanks for sharing it through the music. The lyrics are also a little something sweat)
Glow (excellent track! great production )
Sugar Honey Iced Tea (simple concept, I like it - makes me want to have crush)
    Attention (again, great production)

I think her first album was better. I have both. The best songs to me are "Glow" and "Sugar Honey Ice Tea". I do play "Keep it down" and "Protect my Heart" also. Those are really the only songs I play. The first album had a better feel to me. I think "Glow" and "Sugar Honey Ice Tea" are her best songs period, off of either album. She is different, but that why I like her. I think it's a cool album though. I play it here and there.
