When is the debate? Trump claims Sept. 4 is first debate

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have agreed to debate. But their details appear different. Here's what we know.

If it happens.

Trump may think he has to debate her just so that people don't think he's scared to. But the truth is... yes. He's scared to. That's why they're going to delay it in hopes of using something she says or does before then in order to call it off. They may even use something the media says between now and then in order to call it off. I think that's why we've heard Trump attacking media outlets more than usual recently. Because he wants the option of using that as an excuse not to do a debate they're moderating. But then who does that leave?

And yes, debates can be unfair. Donna Brazil (who otherwise, I love) famously cheated on behalf of Hillary Clinton. I was hugely disappointed by that. She gave Clinton and unfair advantage. This is why Trump may angle to only do a debate if it's Fox. The problem is, Kamala is good enough to beat him even with a handicap and I think they know that too and know how bad it's going to look if he loses with a handicap. So it may be better to do it with CNN and then claim afterward that she's the one who had the advantage and it wasn't fair.

That's how devious they are.
