just the nicest girl
with a love for Jerry
fresh as country mornings

she took his left hand
and slipped
a golden band upon
his finger

promised him
all of her tomorrows
and every dance

said she'd always
give him sweet
romance

a tear formed quietly
in the corner
of my eye
from someplace deep
I began to cry

the moment of
innocence
and the tenderness
held me spellbound
in the wedding bliss
