U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch will announce Monday that the U.S. Justice Department will begin investigating the patterns and practices of the Chicago Police Department this week in the wake of the release of a video showing a white Chicago police officer shooting a black teenager 16 times and ahead of the expected release of similar footage in another death at the hands of a city officer, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The law enforcement official said the morning news conference would be attended by Lynch, the U.S. Attorney in Chicago, Zachary Fardon, and Vanita Gupta, the head of Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. The official was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly before it was announced and spoke Monday to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Don't know exactly how much will be accomplished. Chicago has always been a corrupt city.
Richard Daly may be long gone, but his legacy continues to thrive.

Actually, that's all it is...... Nothing. Just another way of pacifying the masses. It's the same as with prosecuting police, and body cameras. It has done nothing to slow down the amount of police abusing & murdering us. I've seen & heard it all before.

My take is that the spirit of the black power movement has reemerged via today's young black activists etc.

Also it's just far clearer to them that everybody has to be held accountable in 2015...
