Winners: Money and the people that have it

    Losers: The average Detroit resident

My take on what went down after the Urban Rebellion of 1967?

Some got payed, everybody else got played, some cheap and close...

The idea was to undermine equality between the white elites, the mostly nonwhite wannabes...

The reality, no area which doesn't diversity, allows outsiders to determine their destiny, etc.

    I. e., be it a one time mainstay of auto manufacturing and/or entertainment, such won't be a real motivation, for white wannabes etc. to repopulate Detroit...

Yeah, lots of whites, some former residents, some not, flock to the downtown area casinos and sports stadiums, but then most en masse just return to their own suburban communities, etc.

Hence, at best, the white governor's takeover is less a makeover, more a face lift...

And, so goes Detroit, also goes Michigan...

    FYI

No jobs came with this. Thus, it has done city residents no good

Big props to the fighters in the chocolate cities/places/spaces, all over the Americas, etc.

Y'all bring it, that's why we're in it...

On the raw, and on da real, y'all...

    Word: Truth...

    I'm (over and) out!

    Black detroiters have their legacy:

Three hundred plus years and before this white nation even existed...

Most whites came here as peasants, had no or little idea as to how it all works....

Please, don't play us cheap or close, at this late date, bruh...

And, the game is not over, quite yet!

    Stay tuned...

Just who were the Chalmers Brothers, Kem?

And, notable, the plague they unleashed, the white governor brings up at all, as he helps to remake the city, for the white haves etc. to presumable reoccupy...

But, couldn't find a decent cop, to answer our calls, back then!

Oh, yeah: NEW JACK CITY is alleged a fictional take on Detroit's black cartels...

And, ain't that a low blow, too, brother Wesley Snipes?

    Feel me, dig that, too...

    Sigh...

As per usual: Don't (just) believe the hype, posters, etc.

A belated thank you for your past feedback etc.

Though we also have to agree to disagree, and what is revealed, long after that era, is how even some of the would be black reformers were or are heavily into denial...

I also urge you to read (others reread) my late mentor's take on the Urban Rebellions etc.: UPROOTING RACISM AND RACISTS IN THE UNITED STATES (also included via the original publication of RACISM AND THE CLASS STRUGGLE)...

In support of today's emerging young black freedom fighters, they need and should, too...

    P. S.

One of the former drug cartels mainstay went on to become a leading witness for the feds, via their misguided/wrongheaded so called 'war on drugs'...

So you're saying that those white peasants had to deal with rampant 'Jim Crow'? I don't think so. I lived in the black business district that was wiped out by I-75. I know that that has never happened in the history of the state. Moreover, they wouldn't allow those businesses to buy into another area. So perhaps you should study the "actual" history.
