METHUSELAH, MEMPHIS & SONS OF GOD

God gave Noah the rainbow sign
No more water; fire the next time

The flood story in the bible, as you will see proved, is based on Egyptian history, politics, mythology and of its environmental terrain.

Methuselah was the grandfather of Noah. Methuselah was the longest human that lived 969 years, putting his death in 2105 BC. A period of 969 years coincides with estimates of how long the Memphite kingdom lasted. Methuselah birth and death framed the Memphite kingdom in Egypt. Methuselah, according to the Holman bible dictionary, ancestors were metalworking peoples. This would link Methuselah with the Egyptian God Ptah who was the origin of metalworking and his city was Memphis where we get the Memphite Kingdom.

Methuselah born 3074 = Egyptian first Memphis dynasty
Methuselah died 2105 = Last Memphis King

HERAKLEOPOLIS AND THE SONS OF GOD

Genesis 6:1-3 contains a puzzling passage. It tells us that god had become angry because the sons of god married the daughters of man, this event triggered god’s determination to wipe out mankind with a flood. “And the lord said , my spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years (120 years) but Noah lives 950 years so the 120 is symbolic of other things. Perhaps Egyptian history holds a solution to the mystery.

The flood occurred in the year that Methuselah died, 2105 BC. The above warning occurred 120 years before the flood, or in 2225. Is there any event in 2225BC that may shed some light on this matter?

The Egyptian historian Manetho describes two Herakleopolitan dynasties, each with nineteen kings, but with the exception of a King Achtoes, no names are given. The first of these dynasties ruled for 409 years, the second for 185 years. The Turin canon lists only one group of eighteen Herakleopolitan kings. For this reason many Egyptologists believe that Mantheo’s two Herakleopolitan dynasties may be duplicates.

The Herakleopolitan period came to an end in 2040BC, when Menthotpe II reunited Egypt, but we don’t know how long it lasted. Estimates vary from about one hundred to two hundred years, but there is no hard evidence.

Manetho’s second Heraklepolitan group lasted 185 years. Counting back from 2040 we arrive at 2225, the very year that the “Sons of God” married the “daughters of Man” (also another name for Methuselah is Methusael meaning “Man of God”).Not only do we have a coincidence of dates for the start of the 9th (or Tenth) dynasty and the “marriage”, we also have a coincidence between the end of the 120-year warning and the end of the Memphite line of kings in Genesis. Interesting to note that the Egyptian priests noticed a correlation between the heliacal rising of the star Sothis with the onset of the Nile flood.

In the biblical story, the “Sons of God” would originally have been the Memphis pharaoh, the god Horus. The “Daughters of Man” would have been the daughters of a Herakleopolitan king, the false Horus-a man. The biblical story suggests that a marriage occurred between members of the Memphis court and the Herakleopolis court, one that led to a dispute over which line of princes- Herakleopolitan or Memphites- would ascend to the throne of Horus. All Egyptian Kings were the living personification of Horus.

    Notes:

It was necessary to unveil the identity of the Sons of God because some Christians were claiming that physical bodies are resurrected in heaven resembling angels. Angels do not take on the form of humans with flesh and blood.

Herodotus writing about 500BC said: 2.13] “One fact which I learnt of the priests is to me a strong evidence of the origin of the country. They said that when Moeris was king, the Nile overflowed all Egypt below Memphis, as soon as it rose so little as eight cubits. Now Moeris had not been dead 900 years at the time when I heard this of the priests; yet at the present day, unless the river rise sixteen, or, at the very least, fifteen cubits, it does not overflow the lands.” Its amazing when talking about the Nile the bible and Egyptians associated 15 cubits with flooding.“Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. (Gen. 7:20).

Now, would you rather believe Humans had sex with aliens beings from outer space wrongly called Angels or “Sons of God” or Egyptians or the descendants of Seth as Sons of god or the descendants of Cain for the daughters of man.

Comparison of Genesis Death Dates during Methuselah’s Lifetime and Egyptian Dynastic Chronology

    Genesis Event Date Egyptian Event
Methuselah born 3074 BC First dynasty
    Adam died 2831 Second Dynasty
Enoch died 2774 Sothic date Enoch lived 365 years=365 days=
    Solar year
    Seth died 2719 Third dynasty
    Enos died 2621 fourth dynasty
    Cainan died 2526
    Mahalaleel died 2471 Fifth dynasty
    Jared died 2339 Sixth dynasty
    Lamech died 2134 Eleventh dynasty
    Methuselah 2105 Last Memphis King
Noah died 1755 lived 950 years born 2705
Sons of god 2225 (date of god’s anger)
Noah’s flood (2105) Warning given 120 years 2225 before event.

After the flood man’s lifespan limited to 120 years (Genesis 6:3)

    Other Egyptian Dynasties

THE TWELFTH EGYPTIAN DYNASTY IN GENESIS

    Twelfth Dynasty Durations Genesis Durations
    Amenemhe I 30 years Peleg 30 years
    Senworse I 32 years Reu 32 years
Amenemhe II 30 years Serug 30 years

The first three Genesis births after Eber belong to Peleg, Reu, and Serug. The following chart shows the birth date for each and the number of years until the next birth, in sequence. Compare these three durations with the lengths of reign for the first three kings in the 12th Dynasty. Amenemhe I, the first king, ruled for thirty years. His successor, SenworseI, shared a ten-year co regency and then ruled independently for 32 years, at which point the began a co regency with his successor. The third king, Amenemhe II, ruled for a total of 35 years,30 of which were as an independent ruler.

Peleg, a name meaning Division, broken up or watercourse. If Genesis dates describe dynastic and monarchical divisions then Peleg death marks the beginning of separate concurrent dynastic split with Peleg calls to mind an unusual Genesis passage about Peleg: “in his days was the earth divided”. from the Egyptian point of view, the division of the world signified a split between the Hyksos and Theban kingdoms. We should define the deaths of Peleg and Nahor with the split between Thebes and the Hyksos.

These three precise correlations (and others), between Genesis birth dates and Egypt’s Twelfth Dynasty lengths of reign presents striking evidence connecting two chronologies. It seems unlikely that such a set of coincidences can be explained by random chance, especially when you add the fact that the previous birth in the sequence-Eber’s- corresponds to the date of Egypt’s second unification. This is a perfect alignment. Such a coincidence can not be dismissed as a random chance. The probability of such a set of correlations happening by accident is far too overwhelming.

This clearly shows that this portion of Genesis chronology derives from Egyptian dynastic history, and that the Genesis author worked from reasonably accurate Egyptian records in putting this history together. My next point is to advance the theory that the first Jews were Egyptian either culturally or racially or both. If they weren’t Egyptian then why chart their birth and death of many figures of the Bible directly with Egyptian Dynasties?

    AACOOLDRE,

Great job showing biblical parallels with Egyptian history! Particularly, I enjoyed your break down of the following:

    "Notes:

It was necessary to unveil the identity of the Sons of God because some Christians were claiming that physical bodies are resurrected in heaven resembling angels. Angels do not take on the form of humans with flesh and blood."

Surprisingly, Christians do interpret the above as angels. Many TV evangelists currently teach this false prophecy, and this is so, in order to do away with the Color aspect of the biblical characters.

    Sincerely,

    Clyde

What Eloheem really is Egyptian Amen

    MYTH:

IN THE BEGINNING EVERYTHING WAS WITHOUT FORM AND VOID

THE MYTH: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit (Amen) of God moved upon the face of the waters (Nun). (Gen1:1-2).

THE REALITY: Genesis uses the Egyptian Hermopolitan creation scheme to describe the state of the universe before creation begins. The four male deities have been omitted from the story but their essential characteristics have been retained.

The first two sentences of Genesis describe the state of the universe prior to the Hebrew god initiating the creation process. In the beginning, it says, God created the Heaven and the earth, but we know from later passages that the heaven and earth were submerged within the “deep” at this early stage, waiting to be lifted out and transformed into their present physical state. This is the same rebirth/baptism on dipping into water and emerging out new.

The words translated as “without form” and “void” appear in the original Hebrew as “Tohu” and “Bohu”, and those two words sometimes appear in popular writing as an idiomatic way of expressing chaos or disorder, as in “All was tohu and bohu”. The sense of these two Hebrew words combine to indicate a vast empty space, a desolate area. In biblical context, we have an undefined space forming some sort of bubble within the primeval “deep”.

The word translated as “Spirit” in the phrase “Spirit of God” appears in the original Hebrew as “ruach” and it doesn’t mean “spirit” it signifies “wind” (The Egyptian Amen means unseen wind] or “violent exhalation”. By translating ruach as spirit, biblical interpreters have attempted to translate it in a manner consistent with their theological understanding of the biblical text, but without regard to its true meaning and original context. Lets substitute Wind for Spirit and see what we have in the original Hebrew.

The opening verses describe four things:

    1. An earth and heaven that took up space but had had no form or content;
    2. Darkness
    3. A watery deep within which the unformed space existed; and
    4. A wind (the spirit of god) hovering upon the face of the waters

These four elements constitutes what the biblical authors believed to be the four basic component of the universe before the start of creation, one of which, the wind, was identified with the Hebrew god. They correspond precisely with what Egyptian priests in Thebes and Hermopolis believed to be the four primary components of the universe at the beginning of Creation, but the Egyptians identified each of these four elements with a pair of male and female deities (an Octagon), something that was taboo in Hebrew theology. That the Hebrews adopted the Egyptian scheme can be seen from the following elements they represented.

    1. Huh and Hauhet-unformed space the shapeless bubble within the deep, as describe in the bible in Genesis as tohu and bohu.

    2. Kuk and Kauket the darkness on the face of the waters

    3. Nun and Naunet- (Noah)the primeval flood, The deep

    4. Amen and Amenet- the invisible wind that over the waters/Nun. (on a side note the bible links Amen of Egypt with the Amen of the New Testament. Faith, Paul says is unseen faith and faithful has the root words for Aman and Amen of the Bible).

The Bible embraced these four except the other 4 counterparts changing them into human form as Noah and the other 7 making 8 the Octogon coming from a flood of Nun.“Noah…and seven others”(2Peter 2:5) correspond to the Ogdoad eight appearing after the flood. We are saved by baptism of water/flood just like Jesus comes to save us from the flood of the lake of fire from housetops/Arks/Mountains to begin a new life/reborn in heaven for eternal life. “As it was in the days of Noah/Nun so shall it be also in the days of the son of man” (Luke 17:26)

Although the Hebrew priests adopted this Egyptian view of the primeval universe, their monotheistic theology caused them to disassociate these four natural elements from the Egyptian deities with which they were identified, retaining only the physical attributes with which these deities were associated. Additionally, the Genesis author of this creation story accepted the Theban tradition that the primary creator was identified with the wind. They simply changed the Egyptian god’s name of Amen to the Hebrew name of Elohim, and described his as ruach, the wind. When Jesus died on the cross he cried out Eli (short for Elohim) for his losing power of his breathing perhaps? Was this a violation of what Moses wrote that Jesus would call out god by another name?

In the OT creation was Elohim. But when we turn to Revelation did it get back to Amen?
“These things said the Amen, the faithful, and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God” Rev 3:14.

Notes: “Some derivatives stretch credulity…do tohu and bohu of Genesis 1:2 derive from the Egyptian roots”-Egypt, Canaan, and Israel by Redford p.384

    Objectively, Scripture is Perspicuous!

    Objectively, Scripture is Perspicuous!

    Zacharias,

Scripture is clear and understandable by anyone who is able to read. All of God's people have the spirit of truth in their hearts to lead them onto all truth.

Any child of God is able to understand God's word, regardless of his/her station in life or education.

The perspicuity of Scripture does not mean that Scripture is shallow and devoid of content. Perspicuity is part of the wonder of the miracle of Scripture. While a little child is able to understand a passage of Scripture without difficulty, at the same time no theologian can plumb its depth. More books than can be counted have been written concerning various biblical passages.

Quite reasonably, if expertise is required to understand the Word of God, there is little point in talking the time and energy required and we are better off leaving these esoteric matters in the hands of experts, such as yourself.

Question: Do you agree or disagree with all of the above?
