Who will understand you more than me?
All night long you've told me your hidden secrets,
When you shed tears i was there,
When you were in pain i cared,
    I was your shelter,your protector,
I laid my life on your hands,
    I fancy being yours forever,
But you fell in love with someone else,
    And you've trapped me,
You sold me to him as a slave,
He keeps on promising me many things,
Maybe because my skin has been burned by the sun
That he thinks i am dumb
Every nights i look at the sky,
    While watching the stars
    I remember home
    With eyes pouring
    And my plaintive heart says:
    "Africa,aw,Africa,
Why have you done it to me?"

For everyone who feel "black" inside
