Waiting to exhale was just a good movie
until you and me came to pass
and now its a mantra
a pause before
life has to get better
i can't help feeling pain
with trust gone now noones to blame
but life can't go on the same
everytime you move forward
i jump back
fade to black . . .
your words to her
calling her beautiful
planning outings, arranging calls
making me feel less than small
i can't even get you to listen
to remember who we were before
life got busy and one child
became two and
for me now its over boo
so, i run and hide and cry inside
cringing at your touch
waiting for you to just leave
so i can once again
just breath
