Michael Jackson's Children Expected to Testify About His Final Days

All eyes will be on Michael Jackson's two eldest children as they are expected to be the star witnesses in a wrongful death suit filed by the family against the concert promoters who sponsored the singer's ill-fated "This Is It" tour.
The trial, which begins today in Los Angeles, is expected to last three to four months. Prince, 16, and his 14-year-old sister, Paris, are expected to testify about their father's final days leading up to his 2009 overdose death.

Jackson's health and finances part of civil trial

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Millions, and possibly billions, of dollars are at stake in a civil trial starting Monday over allegations from Michael Jackson's mother that the company promoting his comeback failed to properly investigate the doctor convicted in his death.
Jurors will listen to remarks from attorneys who hope to frame the issues before testimony begins in the months-long trial.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Two sides of Michael Jackson have emerged during the start of a trial involving a lawsuit over his death.
The superstar was repeatedly called an addict by lawyers on both sides of the lawsuit filed by Jackson's mother against concert giant AEG Live.
His financial struggles also were put on display during the proceedings that resumed Tuesday.
"The truth is, Michael Jackson fooled everyone," defense attorney Marvin S. Putnam told jurors. "He made sure that no one — nobody — knew his deepest, darkest secrets."

Lawyer: No background check performed on Michael Jackson's doctor; care not monitored

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- AEG Live LLC did not conduct anybackground checks or supervise the doctor who was later convicted of killing Michael Jackson, a corporate attorney testified Tuesday in a lawsuit claiming the concert promoter was negligent in hiring the physician.

Its mysterious to say the least. I've found him to confess just before dying that God kept talking with him. It's a puzzle!

Emails show concern for Jackson deterioration

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A stage manager working on Michael Jackson's ill-fated "This Is It" concert warned an AEG executive days before the star's death that he was in a physical and mental decline and needed help, according to an email shown to jurors Thursday in court.
"I have watched him deteriorate in front of my eyes over the last eight weeks," said John Hougdahl in an email to Randy Phillipsdated June 19, 2009. Jackson died five days later.
"My laymen's degree tells me he needs a shrink to get mentally prepared to get on stage," said Hougdahl, "and then a trainer to get him in physical shape."
He reported on Jackson's rehearsal performances saying, "He used to do multiple 360 spins back in April. He'd fall on his *** if he tried now."

AEG Exec Admits They Paid Michael Jackson’s Doctor

The Jackson family may have found the smoking gun they've been looking for. Yesterday in their wrongful death trial against AEG Live, a top executive for the concert promotion firm admitted that he wrote an email that stated the company employed the doctor involved in Michael Jackson's death.
AEG Live Co-CEO Paul Gongaware had a hard time recalling the email, but ultimately admitted that he said Dr. Conrad Murray was an employee of AEG.
