Dear Journal
For some reason, I feel so free :rolling:
You see I have found a new love!
No not a new man
But a new love
In me
For me :star:
Journal, it is indescribable this feeling of fullness I have
This freedom I have in my heart
Its like a weight has been lifted
One by one I have let go of all that dead weight
Remember that one? the married one
The one said his wife “didn’t understand”
He was the first to get kicked to the curb
Told him I ain’t no marriage counselor
And I don’t understand either! :jumping:
The next was that no good hoe
Don’t know what I saw in him
Maybe that crook in his manhood put a spell on the coochie!
Well found a fix for that mojo
And told that trifling negro to get to stepping! :uzi:
Oh yeah!
That fool that dumped me a while back
And then tried to use me as a booty call back up
Told that monkey *** NO THANK YOU
And told him he didn’t have what it took
To service the Diva :angel1:
Journal
I have to tell you how free I am!
Free at last
Free at last
Thank God almighty I am free at last :spinn:
Oh chile
I have got to say
Never thought it would come to this
All alone
And feeling good
No man
No drama
No expectations
To set or meet
Free to be me
Free to walk naked across the living room floor
Scratching my but and belching along to Ashanti’s Unfoolish
Not that I have ever done that mind you
But I can now if I **** well please!
Well
Just thought I’d catch you up on all the happenings on my end
Catch ya on the flip side

Gurl, this is terrible, terrible tight. From the first line to the very last period. Uh, huh! We are complete whether we have a man or not! If we love ourselves (as God has so commanded) then we will not be so willing to give booty for love. This poem had me sittin' on the edge of my seat with the reading of every line.

go on gurl....go on
:jumping: AMEN :jumping: AMEN :jumping: AMEN

Yo sista in poetry,

Joyce

forgiveness is freedom for the soul..your soul.

I know that if someone is feeling free, there is an element of forgiveness that has taken place. whether within self or forgiving another person-even God, forgiving God can be a very liberating experience. well done Gal
