I almost forgot about this song. When I was a kid my mom was doing the bump with my brother (who was skinny and only 12 years old) and he went flying across the room. LOL

Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)

Three nights ago I was at a disco
Man, I wanted to bump, I was rarin' to go
And this big fat woman, bumped me on the floor
She was rarin' to go, that chick was rarin' to go
Man she did a dip, almost broke my hip
She was gettin' down, that chick was gettin' down
She wanted to bump some more, but I told her, no
You done knocked me down once
You done knocked me down once
Said, if you want to dance
Find you a big fat man
Ya'll both can get on down
Ya'll both can get on down, huh

I ain't gonna bump no more with no big fat woman
I ain't gonna bump no more with no big fat woman

    "Skinny Legs And All"

Say man, don't walk ahead of that woman like she don't belong to you!
Just cause hers got them little skinny legs.
You know, that ain't no way to do.
You didn't act like that when you had it home behind closed doors!
    Alright...
Now you act like you're 'shamed or somethin,
or you don't want nobody to know she's your's.
That's alright, you just walk on baby...
    (sings)
And don't you worry about a doggone thing a'tall, because there's
some man, somewhere, who'll take you baby, skinny legs and all

.....This is simply priceless TXDiamond. I really enjoyed playing the videos and reminiscing in similar fashion shared. In particular, the posting of lyrics is a first and made it that much more pleasurable...Peace In,

In the Spirit of Sankofa and Update!

...Enjoyed the showmanship of Joe Tex so, with handling the mic and all, it made me think of one of the greatest shows of all times...Sam and Dave:) - Hold on I'm coming

Watch carefully and listen how the audience is mesmerized by this performance, the music is powerful, not the mention the singing and dancing skills. So, turn up the speakers sit back and enjoy, lol

Thanks for sharing. Speaking of "handling the mic and all", Joe Tex accused James Brown of stealing some of his moves.

    Quote:

"A feud between Tex and fellow labelmate James Brown began after Brown, who Tex felt copied his stage moves, began dating Tex's wife, Bea Ford. In response,Tex wrote a song called "You Keep Her." They played a few more shows together until Tex mocked James Brown's act of throwing a cape over his shoulder and screamed "please - get me out of this cape". Brown later fired a gun at Tex in a nightclub."

.......You might not believe this, but I though about just that. Where did James get some of that stuff from, could it have been Joe...thanks for the backdrop, I believe Joe:).
