    What to do

I could always cry and be crushed beneath the mountain of “thank you but f_ _ _k off” rejection letters
    But for now I wont
I could beat myself up for the mistakes and missed opportunities that, I have embraced that resigned me to this place
But for now I will not
I could go postal and blame everyone but me
    But for now
    I will not

What I would really like to do is to do it for myself
And thumb my nose at friends and foe’s alike
All of whom rejected me in my time of need like Some dirty stinky ***
Or even worse just apathetically forgot about me and my search for equity with my advanced degree in this land of opportunity
as life pummels me into the reality that things just ain’t like they said it would be once you get your degree.

Black on black crime is evident at 6:00 and 10:00 EVERYDAY
But black to black support is as mythical as a white winged pony
    But that’s alright
I shall rise and when I do
    Her’s a GIANT shout outs of a thousand F_ _k youzz
To all you-- “what’s up” glad I got a job, better you then me ******
Who wouldn’t look out for another no matter the degree
Cus you scarred massa may see
    And question your loyalties.

    I will rise
And hob nobbin with you selfish browned skinned bro’s is not my plan
I will see you broke *** pay check to pay check posers come retirement when you short sighted bama’s are livin in poverty and I am set up in luxury cus that’s my true destiny With or without your help

BUT for now I gotta tell you - These shore are some heavyass bootstraps (lol)

Hey Shaz, you blowin' up as we speak! This was heartfelt, for real. Many are struggling now by decree, not degree. Ours is not a class struggle, it's still a revolution.

Nothing like pulling yourself up by the bootstraps.

Right now you find yourself over qualified. BS degree is stepped on by PHD. Doctorate is smashing the PHD's. The poor experienced associate and certified are lashing around under all this. All fighting for a counter job at the video store.

sure is good to hear from you
    hope your doing fine
sometimes it seems like the only thing we as a people can get right is the crime. just tired of hearing my people scratching and begging for equity from others when we have the tools to do for ourselves (in many cases).

    Thanks for the love
it just seems to me like my M.B.A proved the death of me. Last weak I interviewed with a little white child barely older then my own daughter who candidly told me that I lacked experience specific to the position. you think maybe experience is the new buzz word for that decree?

    good to hear from you
I will always be a "little people" no matter the degree or income, I have up and down enough to know that life offers no guarantees and so its best to remember who you really are.

    Cindy
it is really good to hear from you, I hope things are well. I lost my last good job just because I called the board of directors and their practices racist? can you believe that they were really offended by the simple illumination of the obvious. The good thing is that they couldn't prove my statements false and so they had to buy out my contract and pretend that the position was disolved for budgetary reasons.

Sho you right and the bad thing about it all is that employers know this and they expect young and dumb to be the order of the day. Please explaine to me why if your only paying for 40 a week you demand 60 to 80 hours without additional compensation.

Thank you so much for the love

    Cindy
Thank you so much for the advice and support. In all honesty I have been blessed with a very good part time job that I can develope into a good full time possition if I put in the time and effort. I was just a little pissed that I have gotten so many rejections the last of which was yesterday for a job that I am so tremendiously overqualified for that I didn't even list all my educational background but was still rejected because I lacked narrowly defined specific experience.
excuse me for sharing my pain, but you know how we do some times.

shaz, :) thankful that it looks like things will be much better. Yes, we do that here... share pain... and that is what makes this such a great place... always knowing that we are never alone in it.
Bless you for sharing with me.

You are welcome, too... share anytime with me.
