jesus saves??
you mean as the flag waves vibrantly
over inner city poverty...
where in a sea of influences my self-sovereignty is tossed
to the bottom and becomes a garbage feeder
for government and games...

time and space are too universal to fit in america's little frame..
and so is love...
but when l say love you think of white doves,
lambs and humble sheep but l found love
in people from the cold hard streets who couldn't fly and refused
to be taken to a slaughter b/c
justice and freedom are too universal to fit america's oppressive frame-
and so love becomes a different game when you have family to feed
and these people suppress your need!!

but love doesn't seem to exist and they...
say you don't exist
but l....
see you on their list for constant debate
so you...
must exist in some kind of state
or else...
why do they carry your name with much hate

a man helped you carry the cross b/c we too must bear its weight for the love of our brothers and sisters
and began
to clear our slate from religious and political mind mingling
b/c in the end
all of those bells will quit ringing when truth comes to light
and mass confusion is no longer in sight
and Jesus comes like a thief in the night

No more love above the sheets,
it just creeps--causing the emotion,
(Love)
to be seen as weak.
And the flock known as sheep suffer.....

That's a bit of my piece entitled "The Pit" and I feel what you're sayin' in this piece.

"but love doesn't seem to exist and they...
say you don't exist
but l....
see you on their list for constant debate
so you...
must exist in some kind of state
or else...
why do they carry your name with much hate"

I've always enjoyed this series...
you've drove it home
with some thought provoking words
in the end...
made me think about the instinctiveness
to calling on God when man is in trouble
even when some don't believe or fail to
recognize him...in this world of mass confusion
...something inside of us cries out
to it's source of existence no matter what

this piece stirred lots of thoughts and views within me...

feeling this...poet
Much love,
Sage
