The man who many people believe will take over the middleweight division after Bernard Hopkins will be fighting next saturday on HBO. This is a chance for those who have not seen him to get to know a future champion.

Taylor TKO'd his opponent (Raul Marquez) in the 9th round! Once again he looked very impressive against a relatively tough opponent. Marquez is a former champion, but past his prime. He had never been knocked down before tonight. Good effort from Taylor; however, the biggest criticism of him remains....that he fights small guys. Both of his last 2 opponents have been Jr. middleweights....Taylor is going to have to fight bigger guys if he wants to be truly ready to take on Hopkins.

He pretty much said that he is still learning & wants to go slow (which is true). The translation of this is: Hopkins is too good, and since he is going to retire in a couple of years...I'd rather wait until he is gone, before I try to win the title. This isn't a bad move on his part.
