    (to my philly dawg) :D

    baby, wear yo finest
    we go'n get downright pretty
    go'n take you out to
    the soul-n-est spot
in the heart of the olde city

    they got the smooovest jazz
    north of lawzi~anna
    and the afro/latin funk
    be hotter than havana

    I'm gonna luv you down
all while the music be playin
    you gonna read my mind
thru what them sounds is sayin

sittin at a candle lit table
    in them cozy bistro seats
    snare drum and upright bass
    givin up the naisty beats

so baby just sip yo ale
    and close them sexy eyes
    groove to the crazy rhythms
while my hands play on yo thighs

the music gonna stir it up
but when the set is thru
we gonna hit some serious licks
just go'n be me & you

These Words Are Jumping To A Rhythm Honey!!!

    :jumping: Alice, :jumping:

Presently working on my first 'smooth jazz' project (to be finished by October 17th), you can't know how much I really love this poem, sista gurl. Smooth jazz and smooth loving is so soothing to my soul. This poem even took me back to the sounds of Billie Holiday. I guess it's just the feel of it. Much as I enjoy smooth jazz, strangely, I don't have one poem written on it.

Some of my favorites...Wayman Tisdale, Ben Tankard, Bob James, Boni James, Kirk Whalen. How bout you? Who are some of your favorites.

No, I don't believe I've heard of Bobbie Humphries and dem other boys out of the 70's, but I do love the flute. That instrument and the sax along with strings, bass and drums...really send me chile. These are my instruments of choice when it comes to jazz, gurlfriend. Have you heard Bob James and Boni James as a duet...gurrrrl...su kee, su kee ni! I like Four Play too. I ain much into some of dem other ones you mentioned because I'm somewhat of a contemporary smooth jazz - fanatic.
