Jazz and Poetry said the man... and this you will understand, when you relax and let it flow .
You will be surprised where you might go.
Like the finest champagne bringing intoxication to my brain thru my vein...
Such beauty I have never heard...envoking my spirit like the spoken word...I see paradise within each note the music you felt the notes that you wrote.
Such pleasure to my ears and my soul, all my senses about to lose control.
Jazz bubbling like the finest champagne bringing intoxication to my brain thru my vein...Jazz and Poetry go hand in hand.
And now I understand...
Why at each set I am present I often find a pen appear magically in my hand.
Never knowing quite the outcome.
Appearing strange to some or everyone.
I am finished when the last note is done....And a new piece/peace has begun.
Jazz and Poetry said the man!
Yes indeed they go hand in hand!

this is tight

taken on a flight
by some donald byrd
flippin notes
i neva heard
before
or some horrace silver
that makes my soul shiver
when i try to write
i got some monk
tappin keys in the night
thoughts flow in deep discussion
when i got bernard purdie
playin on percussion
john coltrane be touching
my essense
as i compose with miles davis blessing
that chic correa
made me a believer
that this is a good marriage
as roy ayers carries me off
in a vibe carriage...
