    I heard.
How sad. SMH. I heard a tsunami was headed for Hawaii?
    *sigh*

    Mm...
I'm not one to ignore scientific opinion. I'm really not a religious individual. Agnostic, actually.
...but, I don't consider these quakes to be normal. At all.
    They're stronger appearing more...frequently.

Something is obviously amiss and the fact that this media likes to gloss over this situation pretending that it's normal 'business as usual'...is just another example of it's knack for 'intellectual dishonesty'.

    I don't even know why I'm surprised...
This is the same media who, with Obama, continue to tell us that the heightened gas prices has everything to do with 'supply and demand' - when 'market forces' are so obviously NOT being obeyed.

That Pelosi hag was riding Bush's a** about the price of oil, I remember.
Now, same situation...but watch her NOT say a word to Obama about it.

This is the same media that expects everyone to believe that the economy is trucking along nicely. *sigh*
That we can spend our way out of a recovery.
That our current level of (unsustainable) spending is justified because of the Bush Administration.
That we're presently in a 'recovery' (when housing still hasn't hit 'bottom', banks are still no lending and businesses have not increased hiring)...
That the dollar is safe while the Fed Reserve buys up the T-Bills and actually ENCOURAGED the Fed govt to ramp up the spending.

It should interest everyone to know that, as of this week, PIMCO (the world's largest bond investor) has quietly dumped ALL of our T-Bills...

Major news and you won't hear crap about it in the mainstream, I bet.

I'm pretty sure that there won't be a selloff tomorrow. *laugh* Economic events take time, sure. Still, let's hope that we've tied the other countries up in enough red tape. I know that China is (at the moment).
If they aren't...God (or some other deity) help us and our worthless soon-to-be 'dollar' because this country is going to 'collapse' and we won't have a WW2 to bring us out of it, this timer...

and care more about lobby pay offs

and do you think Obama's policies, resemble FDR or Reagan?

That is sad. I heard yesterday that there was an earthquake in southwest China around 5 magnitude and two smaller quakes in Japan.

I'm hear in Northern California and it was supposed to hit San Fran - today but the waves was only 1 foot higher then usual. Its terrible to hear what happened to them but its even more frightening to hear what they are doing to our peoples in Africa.

    Little retribution -

    Peace and Blessings

    Japan confirms nuclear plant explosion

There has been an explosion and radiation leakage at a nuclear power plant in north east Japan, chief cabinet secretary Yukio Edano has confirmed. Skip related content

"We are looking into the cause and the situation and we'll make that public when we have further information... At present, we think 10 km evacuation is appropriate," Edano said.

The walls of the 40-year-old Fukushima Daiichi reactor nuclear plant have been torn down and smoke can visibly be seen pouring out from one of the buildings.

Operators have detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1's control room.

Japanese officials said they fear the reactor could melt down following the failure of its cooling system in Friday's powerful earthquake and tsunami. States of emergency have been declared for five nuclear reactors at two separate power plants, after the units lost their cooling ability.

The UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, said it was aware of media reports of an explosion and is urgently seeking information from the country's authorities.
