    In the Spirit of Sankofa,

.......Talking about black people doing positive things, here's a brother after working every blue collar position, including his last as a janitor, bought a company about to close and restored it:

Janitor Turned Owner Rescues Failing Ohio Factory

Tony Lee always dreamed of owning his own business and sending his kids to college. Today, he's co-owner of Ring Masters, a company that makes engine rings for industrial use, and his daughter is heading to college next fall. Tony is hoping she'll be the first college graduate in the family.

I wish I could salute him but I can't! On a personal level, the brother is the ish beyond a doubt! On a bigger and more important level, what he did is the exact reason that we can't move forwards. It has always been the dam black man that has saved yt every time he was in trouble! The people of kemet did it, the moors did it, the black man in America is doing it!....it is true...'THOSE WHO FORGET THE PAST ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT"...AND THAT'S WHAT WE BEEN DOING...repeating the same thing over and over and then wondering why and when we're going to get up out of this??? We will as soon as we begin doing for ourselves what we keep doing for them!!!

Don't get it wrong bro...I liked it too....but I'm a Garveyite to the core and I can't see us doing for NOBODY WHAT WE CAN DO FOR OURSELVES PERIOD!!! That's my foundation and it is the loss of that foundation that has us being everybody's lap dog except our own!! Maybe that is what upsets me so much. I look out and see our genius, our skills, our know how, our creativity and all else that we are....and the tears have no choice but to swell up in my eyes and heart to see us take all of that and use it for everybody but ourselves! How am I supposed to feel and think??!!
