I may get criticized for this but I was on stormfront and the people on there have no respect for the dead at all.

So many memories associated with the talented Godfather of Soul, no one else quite like him. May he rest in peace.

Thank you so much Our God Father for up lifting our peolpe.
Peace and Love. Until we meet again. Ashe

WASHINGTON, Dec 25, 2006 (AFP) - US singer James Brown, known as the "godfather of soul", has died in the southern city of Atlanta at the age of 73, US media reported early Monday.

    Our God Father

This was a powerful mind set for me as a child to hear this clearly, deeply and loud. They tried to ban this record at the Baltimore Radio's Station back in the day, but the leaders, and the DJ's was strong and determine. It had to be heard and so it was for all of US to hear it loud, and say it with Pride. "Yes, I'm Black And Yes, I'm Proud."

Say It Loud, I'm Black And I'm Proud lyrics (1968)
    by James Brown

Now we demand a chance to do things
    for ourserlf
    We're tired of beatin' our
    head against the wall
    And workin'
    for someone else
We're people, we're just like the
    birds and the bees
    We'd
    rather die on our feet
    Than
    be livin' on our knees
    Say it loud, I'm
    black and I'm proud

    From another forum:

JAMES BROWN: The reason why your unlcles slide there feet when they
    dance.
JAMES BROWN: The reason why short shorts are called HOT PANTS.
JAMES BROWN: The only BLACK man to embrace the Republican Party and
still be called Soul Brother #1.
JAMES BROWN: Everything Elvis wasn't.....but wanted to be. Including smart
and strong enough to Live to 73 years old.
JAMES BROWN: In his prime...scared more white parents than Little Richard
    and R Kelly combined.
JAMES BROWN: His ONLY peer in entertainment is ALI. When impact was
based on how your work "positively" affected the minds
of people as they were going thru the struggle of ALL
struggles. Not complaining after the hard work had
    been done.
JAMES BROWN: Gave us Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker, The Horny Horns and
evrything Funky that came after him on "Urban" Radio.

His Celbrity may have been tainted by human frailty in later life. But his mark should be studied for what it accomplished. A feeling of POWER thru words, music and dance.

A Job well done. May the Lord shine upon his Legacy so we won't forget, or let others claim that they invented it.

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYOWWW!!! I FEEL GUD!!!!
