Hell no!!! I can't believe this. My respects and condolences goes out to his family and loved ones.

RIP dear elder. You inspired a young brother no older than 21 years of age when he met you. Your legacy and the things you still wanted to accomplish will not die but live on in the hearts and minds of the radical revolutionary generations succeeding you. Free the Land !!!

We lose a soldier on this side to gain a powerful ally on the other!

He was one hell of a lawyer, best known for representing Tupac, and was about to become a hell of a Mayor ... RIP

Most definitely agree, Asomfwaa. Elder brother Chokwe is a good soul. I met him back in 96 with some brother friends of mine and he was one of a few people that had a great impact on me. I remember saying to myself that this brother is the real deal and telling myself I wanted to be like him - an untiring soldier to the cause of Black people!

"civil rights activist" sounds so inappropriate! :( In my book he is, and always will be an Afrikan freedom fighter! :)
