i believe he was trying to be the most reasonable guy in the room....

Might want to make alternative plans for retirement in old age.
The tontine scheme known as Social Security is headed towards insolvency anyways.
obama is not a democrat….it's a trick
Anyone who was counting on social security to always be there and were born after the baby boom era is just simply bad at math.
Be that as it may, does that justify such proposition. And, are you saying that, in the above, to say 'since it is expected to go away, we should not trip that pres obama alludes to the idea that it will be cut?
What I'm saying is it is going away or going to be modified one way or another at a time which will be inconenient for anyone at any point that it happens. The idea, although well intentioned as it was initially set to be, was flawed and could not be sustained.
I don't like the bitter truth of the matter of the subject of social security like most, but one thing I never shied from was the truth. I payed into this system for over half of my life and the very thought that I may not see any benefit at all when it comes my time sickens the hell out of me. There have been forewarnings and I have been living my life and working on my grind as if I will never see a cent of that money. I may, but I am going about it like I may not.
So basically what I am saying if you just sit back and wait for it as your only pension to get you through your last years on this planet, you may not get it and may have an unfortunate outcome.
what you are really saying is that the conservatives have attacked SS so much that you have become convinced that it will not be there.
the right has beat you.
What I am saying is my eggs are not in one basket.
You can get out of the system .
