We came looking for the light
Amidst the hues she shines bright

Some arrive with praises of Shem Hotep
Others with thoughts and words that are truly inept

But as we flow through pages of threads
We pray its doesn't turn into something we dread

Collectively we build a place of love
While she watches us closely from up above

You see even though we have the sun
For some reason we get lost from where we begun

I don't know if its the mist
But please don't let it cover our names like Ashanti, Chewe and Wangui
Like their a bunch of gibberish

This was always ours to have
Filled with a supply of resources that one tribe could never completely grab

Afrikan families were made from "Spiritual People"
Who knew that community is built for a sequel

Osar, Isis and Horu begs of all of u while you're here
It wasn't our Destiny to become a part of them but transform their evil wears

Return to the "African Mother Principle of Male and Female Equality"
Its our only way if we want to preserve the families solidarity

Understood completely, as we tend to lose a portion of Ourselfs ..toiling life's road and the wicked winds that bind us. But our strong spirits will rule!

Much can be found within our roots, the first step is in being open to learn something new and positive about ourselves. Sorry I missed this when you first posted it, but glad I read it now.
