we choose to laugh
or we choose to cry

we choose to fight
or we choose to die

we choose to love
or we choose to hate

every heart does choose its fate
giving energy where it participates

we choose to tear each other down
or we choose to build on solid ground

we choose to respect our Sister's place
or we choose her husband and smile in her face

we choose to give our elderly loving care
or we choose to keep our children unaware

we choose to give ourselves away
or we choose the price that others pay

we choose to break our partner's heart
or we choose to stay faithful from the start

we choose to live in the light
or we choose that darkness is alright

it's all a choice ... which way we go
what we do ... how we flow

each one bringing a life to the table
do with it the best you are able

sane or temporarily insane
we have choices...some taken lightly...

while at the table

all that i'm able

This is rhymic wisdom to the point. I preach to myself often about choice. In fact, it's one of my favorite conversation themes when talking to my teenagers. This should be posted on billboards girlfriend!
