This recently took place in South Carolina. Luckily the victim in this case wasn't killed. Here is the story

That's ridiculous. How is such a light sentence sending a 'message' to the community? My cousin got more years for armed robbery... he didn't physically harm anyone.

They's Whaat boys, you know thayut, Sister Karma, doncha???

As I understood the sentences, though, they got the years, and are going to have to do some probation after the jail time... But, again, if any of us felt that we could let our guards down in AMERIKKKKA, this is a WONDERFUL wake up call(smile!) BTW, the definition of a LYNCHING was way off... In a lynching a person doesn't have to, and most don't, survive...

    Peace!

Yeah, I know... but it is something how the judge seems to think he's being noble in dishing out the sentence he did.

Even if it was the maximum he could legally give, it still shows how racist and unjust the American judicial system is. A righteous sentence would be 20+ plus years doing hard time in prison. If the guy was killed, the just sentence is the death penalty.

Clearly the battle has yet to be won. This is a reality every black person not only in America, but throughout the world needs to realize.

It's not about what the judge did, it's about what the other Black men of the community DIDN'T do.

Didn't the brutha who was lynched have a family?

Didn't he have healthy grown able-bodied men in his family?

    What could they do?

If the beat the guy up as revenge, then they could risk going to jail too.
