Inspired by "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations

Whenever she’s present, I always tend to catch her face.
We attract one another when we’re in the same place.
I’m suddenly bombarded with visions of her as mine.
I’ve never seen a girl come close to looking that fine.
But it was just infatuation, running away with me.
It was just infatuation, running away with me.

We’re always in love and we overcome our differences.
Although some think we should come to our senses.
Being with someone else is not for me.
And I can understand her purity.
I’ll protect her from all harms, as I hold her in my arms.
But it was just infatuation, running away with me.
It’s still just infatuation, running away with me.

I still wonder why I can’t speak and say just one word to her.
I know if I wait too long, she’ll find love with another.
She’s an angel to me.
She has amazing beauty of the likes I know I’ll never see.
But in reality,
She never belonged with me.
It was just infatuation, running away with me.
Although I never met her,
I’ll never forget her.
But it was just infatuation.

Very Nice.. Virgil
