It sure did rain a lot
in April, didn't it?
It rained so much this month
there came a day
that my eyes tried to distort the calendar
struggling to see May

Clouds appeared this April,
billowy, fluffy, dark...clear as day to see
Filled with the stuff that life can bring
I stared at them, and they stared back at me
No, the clouds didn't retreat
and neither did I.
Not running for cover, just standing there, drenched
and having the audacity to ask, Why?

It sure did rain a lot
in April, didn't it?

Procrastination and stagnation had me frozen
they've become my kryptonite
They came about because of my fear
that things wouldn't work out right
Expecting a change from those
who are acting just like they behaved before
Delirious with disappointment, and damned near despair,
clouded mind did a rain dance, and Lord have mercy did it pour

And I realize, it's awfully silly, but I thought,
What's all that rain coming down for?
It sure did rain a lot
in April, didn't it?

May Day, May Day!
I realize that there's still more rain
but the flowers are about to bloom
and that helps to numb the pain
Every patch of soil won't have flowers
some areas will be bare, some will have weeds
Procrastination won't weed the garden
And stagnation can't plant any seeds

Every action, has an equal an opposite
reaction, and that's a fact
Time to seek shelter, and use the umbrella
that I usually carry, time to act.

It sure did rain a lot
in April, didn't it?
Hello, May. Glad to see you...

It rained more than my eyes can see
Like wat-iz-ur-name your beauty blinding me/
You reflect the earth and thats watz-in-a-name
Glow more than the moon, April drives me insane/
As the clouds accumalate overshadow the sun
My new born son sheltered can't get rained upon/

It sure did rain a lot
In April, didn't it?

Nice drop sista really feeling your piece just showing some love
