What do you think we need to do to get our REPARATIONS as Black people that have ancestors that were enslaved and still suffering collectively from the impacts of slavery and after 1865.

I think it is time to make sure that our votes go to a candidate that will get the reparations that are overdue to us.

250 years of slavery. 90 years of Jim Crow. 60 years of separate but equal. 35 years of racist housing policy. - See more at: http://www.northeastern.edu/camd/cf...es-the-case-reparations/#sthash.dlW4qcBp.dpuf

There are so many people just happy about that flag. I do not feel closer to people because the flag has been removed.

Give us something more real. As a matter of fact, we need to boldly ask each candidate that position on reparations and how they will get it for us. We cannot give our votes away, AGAIN.

In the meantime, please sign this petition so that President Obama's Administration can respond to our request. The link is below.

"... Again, in my opinion, the apology simply sets the stage for reparations and restitution, for without the apology there is no basis upon which to demand full reparations. America is a paper trip game, and you only win from what is well documented "...

When we get on one accord about this, it'll be very easy to push politicians and receive the debt due.

    There is strength in numbers.

Lol. The Apology and now the Flag. Yup, they are on a roll.

I think as a people we have been to silent and passive with the Obama Administration. These other 'special' groups knew that during this Administration would be the time to push through their objectives and issues.

When have been passive trying to collectively protect him from the government racists. I don't think it worked --personally. It is time to get loud, really LOUD and Assertive about our collective needs starting with REAL REPARATIONS.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CREATE A PETITION TO THE WHITE HOUSE THAT WE CAN SIGN.

PRESIDENT OBAMA SHOULD RESPOND TO OUR COLLECTIVE NEED FOR REPARATIONS THAT ARE OVERDUE TO US!

Those other people have created a website to petition the White House about Bill Cosby, we can do one for something that is way more important ----
    REPARATIONS.

Maybe there is a petition out there.

Did you see the (below) in the red bar on site? The petition has been closed.

Again, we must organize first. As I said, there is strength in numbers, but we must be on one accord to get this done, k?

If I'm not mistaken, 100,000 signatures are required for a petition of this type.

That apology is six (6) years old, and everyone isn't aware of it. The below is from one of your links:

    http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/7087020

"The news in my mind is a glimpse of really much bigger news that is going to come from the White House," he said. "I think that there’s going to be an official apology from the White House for slavery in America and then there's going to be a major push to get cash. And I’m talking lots of cash.”

    ...

Africans Have Apologized for Slavery, So Why Won’t the US?

A majority of Americans do not support reparations, or even an apology, for the centuries of brutal enslavement endured by blacks.
