This post is to share some information and hopefully inspire and motivate.

My question is what are you going to do for your welfare and well being?
For your sisters and brothers welfare and issues. Your cousins and aunts.

There is no longer a need to march. We can no longer sit back and watch.

From our decisions and purchases we can get the respect and programs we need to help our communities.

Voting with your dollars speak louder than any spokesperson.

All those who have Aetna have to do is threaten or state
that when open enrollment period comes

Say you will be switching providers based their non support for American health care issues.

    American issues are our issues.
    American wars are our wars.

We don’t have a country. We don't have a chamber of commerce.
We haven't built these things since 1865 nor since we lost them
in the early part of the 1900's.

We were born here. Own little or nothing here and get no respect here.
We do not have an African American Consulate like every other person of another race.

America gives money our tax dollars to the consulates and the consulates give their people the money to their people here to help them secure their place in this land.

Their people open up all these businesses and malls we see in our surrounding communities.

America is a welfare system and we are constantly pointed at for the small portions we need or get.

Those same countries of all others origin get extra money so their people can pay for education. It’s a dirty game.

We don’t have a chance or an opportunity since we are in this country that won’t respect us, give us our due or just stop hindering us in our progress we do make. How many Black owned banks are left? There are no longer black townships. There was once a Black Wall Street. All crushed early in the first part of the 19th century.

Buy from X because Y has practices we do not agree with.
In a block fashion like. We all vote. We do that as a block.

Our vote is counted before the election...and not courted.
Because we are known to vote 98% Democrat.
So the Democrats have gotten complacent on us.
We have in the past and they believe we will remain committed.
They will forever ignore us as long as we are predictable.

I read the paper and the news needs to be about us in a positive moving way. Stating how we are voicing our needs and concerns.

Done correctly, done immediately before November’s Election.
Some sane justice can and will begin to happen and take place.

I mean a make em sit up and pay attention type of message.

I read how the President is constantly challenged. On every issue and ground.

I get calls since the election is in November.
I ask the caller, how did your candidate vote on the health care bill?
I will say to them I will be going online to check their voting record, the caller stumbles for answers, and really don’t know or care how their candidate voted for this President’s agenda’s.

The health care bill had more contained in it than health care. There was education funding in the bill. Considerable amounts to Historically Black Colleges.

In the paper I have it states that over 500,000 children will be without coverage.

    http://www.latimes.com/health/la-fi-kids-health-insurance-20100921,0,799167.story

I am fortunate I don’t have to use the listed insurers below.
I am fortunate to have their competition Kaiser that has been hurting them for years.

Managed care health providers like Kaiser Permanente came about to provide inexpensive care for more people. They have been steadily eating away at Aetna's subscriber base because it cannot compete with them on cost.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/04/aetna-forcing-600000-plus_n_380130.html

I am concerned that many African Americans are a major portion of the half million that will not have benefits, if the insurers follow thru with their actions.

    http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/09/major-insurers-drop-child-policies-coverage-mandate/
Major insurers to drop child policies ahead of coverage mandate
Then this article where a Democrat didn’t vote for the bill.
    I say shame on him.

I am sure there are some Republicans running as Democrats. You know the wolf in sheep’s clothing trick.

This House Representative of Congress voted against the bill. Then he has the nerve to say he is surprised that the challenge is on.

I read of the Hispanic community. They are marching for every right they can march about and they are no joke. They get their due!

The truth about them is they aren't hurting as bad as they are portrayed. :whip:

    Check out the chart!

    Latino entrepreneurs launching new businesses

Dennis King, executive director of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Silicon Valley, said he has seen a surge of interest in Latinos who want to start their own business -- particularly from women.

This country and the news need’s to be MORE about some of our concerns.

    Let's be honest

look at the coversations on Facebook, twitter and the 4 top Black discussion boards

The Sarah Palin Glenn Back crowd are celebrating becuase we really don't give a hoot or a holler about the plight of our fellow brothers and sisters across the street, let alone across the globe, and each day we add thing to the list of Willie lynch,

just more and more stuff to divide us as a people at a time in our history that we should be uniting

A people only get what they focus on

When folks feel like uniting they will,
when we have Black economic survival in our hearts then it will happen,
but right now folks don't give a hoot or holler, maybe it's the individualism message of rap music, i don't know but

    until folks care,

    nothing will happen

until then the future must take it's course wether we have united to plan for it or not

The pic for that video confused me at first, cause the title in the background said "Coons in Africa" and the word Coon is another way of saying n*gg*r here in the UK. I was thinking I know everyone says the US is racist, but having a title like that on TV...?

You know if everyone turned beige I still think you'd have like the blue-eyed beigees picking on the brown eyed beigees or the straight-haired beigees picking on the curly-haired beigees or the other way around - proof of that is the way that some mullatoes act towards other mullatoes.

what does that have to do with the contex of the discussion?

Black folks cannot talk about BlackNationaklism, without someone accusing them of hating white folks?

Or try to take the conversation on a tangent?

Like Glenn Beck and Sarah Plain represent all white folks? what is that about?

    Ever heard of Liberals?
    Ever heard of progressives?

    Ever heard of www.thirdworldtraveler.com
    or www.commondreams.org

    or Noam Chomsky
    Naomi Wolf
    Naomi Klein
    Laura Flanders
    Peter Dale Scott
    Gary Null
    Jon Pilger
    Greg Palast
    Michael Ruppert
    Michael Chossudovsky
    Senator Barry Sanders
    Tim Wise
    JimPerkins the Economic hitman

but name 2 nut jobs and we are hating all white folks gimme a break, now ho is the racialist?

You know As an African I relate to the people of bolivia and their struggle against warer privatization

I can rrelate to the fathers of babies killed in Iraq for nothing

I can relate to the pakistani mothers who have seen their loved ones buried and crushed in building destroyed by Drones

Sometimes folks have to see a wolrd beyond thier nose and voice some concern as well

I say that since this is specifically in regards to how one approaches Black people on a Black web site dealing with a Black ish and all of the White folks I mentioned and listed would understand that point very well,
and respect the need for Black folks to speak amongst Black, to solve our own problems .

I'm pretty sure it's not me. It's you.

Some of you fail completely to grasp sarcasm.

please forgive folks for not understanding levity about this ish
