Nigeria : Islam in Nigeria

PanAfrica

I believe one of the few good ideas that America has is religious tolerance (even though it isn't truly practiced). The truth is that religion divides as much as it unites, and Africa is all the proof of that anyone will ever need.

I agree.

One of the best things about the West is it's religious tolerance.

Unfortunately most people of color around the world aren't so tolerant with eachother, especially those who don't go along with the views of the majority.

This is the case whether your talking about religion, politics, social events..ect....

We just have a problem in general respecting other people's views and opinions that differ from ours.

We can argue about history all day and night.

We can argue about who is oppressing who all day and night.

We can argue about which religion or "non-religion" is the best.

.....but let us first separate TRUTH from FALSEHOOD.

The article above begins with this statement:

"The Koran commands Moslems to wage jihad for the forcible conversion of the whole world. Africa, with its generally low level of civilizational development and corresponding lack of the power to defend itself, has been singularly vulnerable to these aggressions, particularly after the hiatus imposed by colonialism (whatever its drawbacks)."

Hmmm....

But in the Koran itself, in Surah 2:157 we read:

"There is no compulsion in religion. Surely the right has become distinct from error; so whosoever refuses to be led by those who transgress and believes in Allah, has surely grasped a strong handle which knows no breaking. And Allah is All-Hearing. All-Knowing. "

So now if an article STARTS OFF lying or spreading misinformation.....what does that say about the rest of it?

Let us first deal in truth and accuracy before we let our emotions and what we THINK we know about history cloud our reasoning.
