    never thinking i'd be alone
    inside of me love had grown
    feeling safe and secure
    within your passion i was so sure
    but now i don't know what to do
    not feeling your love like i used to
    is it just some bad days that you've had
    never intending to make me sad
    do you need time to think things thru
    perhaps this tension has nothing to do
    with the love between me and you
    i don't know ... i can't tell anymore
    it's so hard for me to ignore
    what i'm feeling deep in my core
    i don't want to be without you
    is there anything i can do ...
    to restore the love we once knew
    to make you want me like i want you
    is there anything i can do ...
    to make our love be brand new

    what brings us to the point
    where we cannot handle feeling
    like we do...not connecting to
    our love like we should?
    how does emptiness bubble up
    and over a cup not filled?
    what brings discord?
    ...drives a wedge?
    ...dries the love well
    between a loving man and woman?

    love...a funny thing that ain't funny...

    So many thoughts run through my head and my heart as a read and soak this in. I know these feelings. Truly make me ponder the same things, having been hurt but still so much love within the core.
