Is there a Rule about copying/pasting ENTIRE articles?

This makes for EXTRA LONG posts, taking up a lot of space in a thread.

Is there a Rule that says to give an "EXCERPT" of the article and then the LINK to the rest??

IMO, to post an entire WIKIPEDIA page is just so excessive.

    What say the MOD Team?

I think I recall that you cannot do that and you have to also have link to the source and credit to the author.

I have also recalled some other members warned doing so.

I just copy part and use a link for them to read more.

Yes, Sister MsInterpret, I also recall reading a former member (Bro. Isaiah) being asked to "curtail" his very long post.

And I remember seeing Bro. Jamesfrmphilly instructing others to just post a portion of the article/page and then the link.

These exxxtra long posts don't even really serve much constructive purpose...Who's gonna actually read all that?!

And it interrupts the discussion flow.

    :SuN049: I know I'm not!!

And yes, I personally find it to be disruptive and obnoxious.

It's almost as bad as making your font large to get your point across lol

    ROFLMBO!

Well now, some folks don't SEE very well and will say you DIDN'T say something, when you did.

So, sometimes, a little "OPTICAL ENHANCEMENT" is necessary. :D

Could you please ask Adurratln to do so?

He does this all the time, and it just slows down the thread discussion and just takes up unnecessary space.

Here is the thread where I got those quotes: http://destee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65494
