Black People : Is it important to get the last word?

I notice when talking, debating, arguing, with people whether on here or in real life...Some people always feel like they have to have the last word.

For example...at the end of a coversation between a person and myself it will go like this...

ME: "Okay, well I'm done with this conversation. Bye."

THEM: "Well, I still think...blah blah blah..."

ME: "Okay.."

THEM: "Like I said...blah blah blah..."

ME: I get it!

THEM: "I also feel that.....blah blah blah."

ME: " OKAY!"

THEM: "Okay!" :hearthis: WINNER! By means of having last word!)

Is it important that you get the last word?

Do you feel like getting the last word in proves that you've won the conversation?

Why do you feel it's important to get the last word in?

If you don't feel it's important, why don't you feel it's not important?
In serious deliberate dialogue, the 'last' word dynamic is very unimportant because it is mutually beneficial dialogue without competition against each other but against false concepts;so therefore we become team mates against falsehoods;on the other hand if it is understood that we are playing 'one ups-manship' then the last word becomes significant....ProperEducationAlwaysCorrectsError

I have always taken the attitude, nothing in here is that serious in most cases
