I notice when talking, debating, arguing, with people whether on here or in real life...Some people always feel like they have to have the last word.

For example...at the end of a coversation between a person and myself it will go like this...

ME: "Okay, well I'm done with this conversation. Bye."

THEM: "Well, I still think...blah blah blah..."

    ME: "Okay.."

THEM: "Like I said...blah blah blah..."

    ME: I get it!

THEM: "I also feel that.....blah blah blah."

    ME: " OKAY!"

THEM: "Okay!" :hearthis: WINNER! By means of having last word!)

Is it important that you get the last word?

Do you feel like getting the last word in proves that you've won the conversation?

Why do you feel it's important to get the last word in?

If you don't feel it's important, why don't you feel it's not important?

Thats funny lol. No I dont feel like its important at all. But it is funny when its handled the way that you mentioned, the other person who has to have the last word gets sooo upset when your done with the conversation! lol..to me thats better than having the last word.

lol i've been in a few situations like that in the past and i am good at massaging people's ego and let them have the last word. it's probably the only way they're ever going to beat me at something, so why not let them have that minor victory.

lol...that's how it is with me and conversations. It's like "the song that never ends"...I mean c'mon...
I just let people have the last word, even if I still don't agree...and after I say I'm done, I typically mentally shut them down and run on auto-pilot.

Letting someone have the last word is something of a talent people have...not many people have that talent.
