    Is it a crime

    It must be a crime
    To love anyone like this
See, she was the only one
That ever really made me feel
    Like I mattered
    She showed me the difference
Of what a woman and a girl is
    She showed me how
A woman differs from a lady
    By showing me that
    A woman already knows
    How to be a lady
And a lady is just perpetrating
    What a real woman is
She told me it was the essence
Of how a woman carries herself
    Which differs from
    Your average lady
    Or your common street ***
    See a woman is worth
    More than that

    It must be a crime
    To love anyone like this
Because if it wasn’t for her
    I still would be walking
    In confusion and being blinded
By a girl with a big butt and a smile
See, I can look past that now
And find what exactly it is
    That makes a woman
    Of her caliber so special
    Don’t get it twisted
    And go walking around
    And call me ***** whipped
    See, I know her worth
    And I would do anything
And everything to let her know
That she is more then just
    A sexual being to me
To me she is the epitome
    Of a woman of empowerment

    It must be a crime
    To love anyone like this
    Because most men
    Over look her
    And think that
    She is just stuck up
    Not realizing that
She is the Queen of Yemen
    The Queen of Sheba
A being with so much beauty
    That the average man
    Would bowel to her existence
    And only a righteous man
Would dare to step to her
    Her physical being
is one of a captivating persuasion

    It must be a crime
    To love anyone like this
    For the simple fact
    That I have had her
    And let her slip
    Through my finger tips
See, the it wasn’t a crime
    To love her like this
    It was a crime
Not to realize what she was
    It was a crime
To not treat her as such
    It was a crime
    Not recognizing her worth
    It was a crime
    That I wasn’t the man
    I should have been
    Now that was a crime

Tell the truth and shame the devil. That was intense, and the ending hit me like a ton of bricks. When second chances don't come, hopefully we learn so we don't make that same mistake twice. This was tight poet.

Thanks I can only write what I have in my heart.

See at times I miss her still
    but I realize that
not everything is meant for me

    I still dream of dreams
    when my days
    where consumed by her thoughts
