Black History : Is Essence Mag African?

Essence Magazine is no longer a black owned publication, and its topics of the last 10 years is a reflection of that. Essence is extremely anti-African male, and promotes inter-racial dating. Black men are constantly demonized in this magazine...I don't recommend anyone read its contents.

You know, I KNEW something was different about that magazine! WE were talking about this article a while back on the nappturaliity forum... This mother and daugther got make overs.. both had natural hair. The very first thing the make over person said to them was "Let's put a perm in your hair to make it more managable."
