This question goes out to everyone but especially to those of us here directly from the Motherland

    Swaziland: Bombers Sow Insecurity

Zimbabwe Says EU Insincere on Dialogue

    Senegal: Silence Endangers Girls

    Burial Abandoned Over Ghana Game

Kenya Adds HIV/Aids Drugs to Budget

    Somalia: Anti-Govt Militias Merge

some of the headlines sounded so bizzare, that I had to wonder if some of this stuff is just lies, planted

Is this a reliable source of news or is this thing like the "National Enquirer"?

ALLAfrica like all the rest is a good part of our problem. The apperance of plurality. Just like Pamburka (whatever) which is run by Indians from Kenya. How "for us" could it really be if we do not own and control it independent of the man?

All news sources are providers of propaganda. All Africa at least has news from every part of Africa and I find the Science and Technology section usefull because it is very comprehensive and the news is supplied by more than 2 news sources. And I rarely find articles by AP or UPI.

If one is looking at the sensationalism of this source, I suggest one look more for substance because sensationalism is a marketing tool used by every media outlet which faces competition. It is a marketing strategy.

Progressive websites do not depend on the Bernay's sysem of ... uhm.. public relations,

and the post was made in hopes of finding some non commercial websites of news from the motherland pertinent to those interestedi n Pan Africanism,
rather then just a back home version of the National Enquirer, or the Star Ledger

with the white man we have the Post but we also have global research.ca at our disposal

there is the spin from FOX news but there is the real journalism od democracynow.org

therefore there was a hope that there would be a choice of African news as well since

some of those headlines seemed kinda bugged, and who knows wether they are true or not?

It amazes me the consistency in which you raise questions then attempt to frame discussion and lecture respondants.

If you reduce this particular site to tabloid journalism thats your choice. Perhaps it would be more constructive to offer or suggest alternatives in a more proactive manner. Later...

    Ocacia ... Peace and Blessings.

I don't think we've ever shared in a discussion before, but I'm intrigued by your commentary quoted above.

You say it as if you know of things that are "for us", that we own and control independent of the man.

Is that the case? If so, would you mind naming those entities for me.

    Thanks in advance.

Brother Ankhur ... how can such a web site exist ... covering the breadth you've described ... with no commercial persuasion?

Based on my 12+ years of experience, it'd be virtually impossible to do ... for we are not demonstrating the collective support needed to sustain such an endeavor.

Maybe you know how it can be done though, and if so, please share.
