    Okay,

It looks like Ghazi Mashal Ajil al-Yawer is going to be Iraq’s next president. He supposedly has a lot of influence, because he is the highest ranking Sunni leader in his tribe. They are also quick to point out that he has sharply criticized American occupation in Iraq and will not be a puppet of the U.S.

However, his position as President is going to be a symbolic position. The more powerful executive post of prime minister is going to be held by Iyad Allawi. Allawi is known to be a U.S. backed Shiite Muslim with connections to the CIA. He was quoted and saying that Iraq still needed the presence of U.S. forces to:
He then goes on to say:
Do they really expect us to believe that this new Iraqi government will be anything but a group of puppets to be manipulated by the U.S.?
