Black Positive People : Introducing Barbados: The First Developed Black Country

How is Barbados the "first" developed black country? There were plenty of developed countries with and run by "black" people(I use quotations because being called black is fairly new), before these certain civilizations were torn down, and built up again, with another name, and another face, like white people's face.

They aren't the first. :10500: So, it's great you're showing such a positive attitude, but you're really making black people seem incompetent saying something like that.

Do you know the meaning of a developed nation?

Yes, obviously there has been prior black civilizations but do you have any proof that they would be classed as developed nations and have widespread high human development?

You can't assume.

I can't assume, but you seemingly can the other way around. Seems fair.

“persons living below the poverty line in Barbados has double, since the last study on living conditions and poverty was undertaken over a decade ago”? Pertinent in the report is that 19.3% of Barbadian individuals in 15% of households earn income below the poverty line – 9.1% of individuals 7% of households were living below the indigence line at the time the survey was carried out. An easy conclusion to make, anecdotally though it is, these numbers with the prevailing economic hardships must be trending upward.

Poverty rates in most nations have increased as a result of the worldwide recession.

Here is the increase in human development by year to paint a better picture. As you can see based on the chart, it has gradually increased and increased:

And how can you say it is a Black nation if it is still a colony headed by the Queen of England and run economicaly basically by Whites?

That's an incorrect statement. This is an independant nation. YES, it is apart of the commonwealth but the commonwealth's role is almost solely ceremonial. The Queen doesn't even control things in her own nation. The prime minister is black as well as most of the government.
