he laid across from me
speaking
about how he wanted
to be touched
by something other
than greying clouds

... i looked at him

i wanted to touch him
with just one truth
-- perhaps the only truth
i know --
that he should spend his
life learning how to
committ to love
and to stop fighting it
as though it were a
disease ~ without a cure

but his heart was closed
and eyes thought to be
opened by disillusions
that came flittering out
of him like crows against
a pale sky
landing at my feet

a decaying monument
of flowers
with eyes full of yesterdays
that can not move
beyond tomorrow

i laid across from him
and looked at him
wrapping myself in silence ...

listening to him
speaking about how
he wanted to be touched

and i thought to myself...
for my truth, I'm afraid,
he would
not comprehend ...
so i will not touch him today

(c) 2002 FINDING SO(u)LUTIONS

i came...
seeking a touch
the warmth and gentleness of your heart's caress
yet
you've neglected me
...rejected my offerings of longevity.
thinking i couldn't see
beyond your fear of me

was i blind
did vanity destroy your view of me
what was it i didn't see
show me

my mind's view is wide open
i was hoping
that we could be one
maybe a little daughter and son
to carry on our legacy

touch me with your truth
that i might feel you
through the greying clouds
that blocks my view

I DO.

hear me.

i see that TOO MANY women have had TOO MANY bad experiences around here...been through TOO MANY heartaches and not enough walks by the lakes...TOO MANY saddened faces trying to get to hidden places...TOO MANY.

allow me to say, I'M SORRY...for the pain you've endured
the sleepless nights...and, tears, you've endured
the lonely hours...in the night, you've endured
the hopeless men...and helpless boys, you've endured.

i'm sorry.:(
