Mama Zogbe is on point. It's all right there in front o fus. It is beyond my comprehension to understand how any African American, especially women, can still gladly accept their role as slaves, gladly celebrating their own death every sunday in that den of iniquity the christian church.
    beyond comprehension.

I might be alone on this but....

I didn't like the way that the interview was conducted and the underlying themes that the interviewer seemed to keep trying to throw out there.

Mama Zogbe was dropping plenty of knowledge, real deep knowledge, but it seemed as if it was being pulled towards another agenda by the interviewer.

Another point that is just my preference, is looking towards their-story to find our people as some sort of validation. I am just fine with information on our people utilizing more indigenous spiritual systems and ways directly from the continent. Yeah we know that they have used our systems to benefit and continue to do so, but its just a personal preference.

But like I said before, Mama Zogbe was dropping true knowledge.

What agenda did you think she was swaying the interview towards?

I felt the same way listening to the interview.

I suspect because the interviewer is an ex-wicca practioner and a 'feminist', her agenda was to promote the 'feminist' ideology using mama zogbe's book and interview.

It was good to hear her speak though.

You are definitely not alone Qwamii. I was like, "shut the f up!"
why would we wan't to hear what she thinks when we have Mama Zogbe dropping bombs! This illustrates a big part of the dysfunction in the community. People don't know when to shut up.
