    No one purchases fire insurance
    expecting fire,
    life insurance expecting to die,
or auto insurance expecting to tota ones cr.
Insurance is for "Just in Case"

The new GOP group of presidential candidates are as maniacal and as disconnected from reality,
as the former GOP POTUS was stupid,

virulently racist, and not trying to hide it,
virulently Malthusian regarding basic government benefits and infrastructue that Our tax dollars pay for,
and virulently imperialistic when it comes to foreign policy.

Therefore, some plan for the survival of the national black community is needed,,
"Just in Case" the GOP do win in 2012,
when the economy will be worse then now
since the economy ill get worse and not better

    Now there are Democrats that are paving the way for this;

....... Six members of the Congressional Black Caucus joined 54 other Democrats and 40 Republicans in a letter calling for $4 trillion in cuts in federal spending over the next ten years. In doing so, the six Black congressmen – and they are all men – reveal themselves as wholly unrepresentative of any Black constituency in the United States. We will call out their names, in a minute.

But first, let’s get to the substance of the letter. It was addressed to the so-called “Super-Committee” that is charged with cutting $1.5 trillion – not $4 trillion, but $1.5 – from the federal budget, the result of the disastrous dance over the debt ceiling between President Obama and congressional Republicans, last summer. The deadline for the Super-Committee of six Democrats and six Republicans from both Houses of Congress, is November 23. If the committee does not come up with the cuts, or the Congress does not pass them by December 23, then $1.2 trillion in cuts would automatically be triggered. The damage to the social safety net would be serious, but a $4 trillion cut, as advocated by the letter writers, would be far worse.
So, why would six Black Democrats join 54 mostly Blue Dog members of the Party in calling for a catastrophic $4 trillion in cuts? Because the First Black President is as eager to gut Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare as the Republicans are. It was Barack Obama who appointed the Deficit Reduction Commission that last year called for $4 trillion in spending cuts, including Social Security. And, it was Obama who offered the Republicans the same level of spending cuts in his bid to make a “Grand Bargain” with the GOP – a bargain that, for their own evil reasons, the Republicans did not accept.
The six Black Caucus members are among the congressional Democrats that want to help Obama to finally seal that Grand Bargain with the Republicans. The letter to which they affixed their signatures mimics Obama language in maintaining that “all options for mandatory and discretionary spending and revenues must be on the table.” That’s Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, on a silver platter – in exchange for some token tax increases.
.......Who are these six Black congresspersons who would sell out their constituents to please the president and his corporate friends?
They are Danny Davis, of Chicago; Chaka Fattah, of Philadelphia; Gregory Meeks, of New York; Terri Sewell, of Alabama; Mel Watt, of North Carolina; and Emanuel Cleaver, of Kansas City. Cleaver is the chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus,

    How do you define insurance?
Or are you speaking in metaphors?

    Here is the thing:

I'm all for helping others, but how about we do all we can to "teach others how to fish" instead of counting on some organization to "give them fish"?

who said anything about an organization giving anyone anything, the term was insurance, and lets be claer if there are 50% in poverty in this nation what more then likely are the figures for us.

Your point is well taken, so what can be done for those who will be directly and harshly impacted,
by a GOP administration, in the way of as you say education, and while they are bineg educated what will take the place of those needed services in the interim?

true but for the worse case scenario,
a contingency plan is needed in lieu of the basic services the community depended, probably being slashed under a republica president

White people have their own internal networks that will take care of their needs.
The Jim Crow laws in hiring practices will increase, and when the decline occurs, white gays and lesbians will have minority status and take affirmative action set asides, and a company business or corporation can once again be all white. claiming they have filled their affirmative action quota.

My concern and focus is the Black community nationally and globally

Insurance requires resources to be added to a pool periodically. From where will these resources come?

Start with a RADICAL change in thinking for reality is about to set in.
In addition to education, there will need to be a change in lifestyles. Greater emphasis must be placed on production. Working together will be essential.

I can see that you're all into this ish as if there's a difference in anybody in the government...as if having Obama in office really made a big difference in our reality. Come on Bro!! And then to top it off, these glasses that you keep on your face that you keep trying to get everyone to look through isn't working either...and you haven't asked yourself the question of "WHY"?

You keep speaking as if we have magically changed over night...when just yesterday the entire world saw how helpless we really were when Katrina struck. There were enough black entertainers, actors, rappers and all else. We shouldn't have needed a dime from no one! The black churches and mosque in America are too numerous for us to have begged for one thin dime!

However, in the words of Albert B. Cleage Jr. Clearly, black America is in a state of emergency, and their plight grows worse and worse. Whatever happens in America, blacks suffer a double dose of it. If America has a cold, blacks have pneumonia. If America is in a recession, blacks suffer in a depression. This is due to their economic, social, and political deficit situation in America. I understand why Albert B. Cleage Jr. stated,

We have the same problem that Jesus had, but he was not afraid to attack the Scribes and Pharisees who were in control of the black community because he knew they were being used by the enemy. . . . Our churches also are being used to destroy our unity. Our churches are being used to block both political and economic unity. Our churches are being used against us. . . . You can’t free a people as long as their leaders are taking orders from the enemy.2

Unless the church and its leaders break from institutions and powers that oppress God’s people, and reconnect to the purpose and vision of the kingdom of God, the relevance of the black church in this twenty-first century is questionable.

In the words of Carter G. Woodson: The Negro church often fulfills a mission to the contrary of that for which it was established . . . it seems that practically all the incompetents and undesirables who have been barred from other walks of life by race prejudice and economic difficulties have rushed into the ministry for the exploitation of the people. Honest ministers who are trying to do their duty, then, find their task made difficult by these men who stoop to practically everything conceivable. Almost anybody of the lowest type may get into the Negro ministry.3

Now I posted this to sort of say that; # 1. We are in a state of physical, mental economic and spiritual war and we need to know this. This is also verified by "Black's Law Dictionary...for they state that it is a war whether declared or not...and became a war from the first time that Europeans encroached on Africa to the present day.

So I say this to say that, it don't make a difference who wins! Only in your mind and heart does it make a difference! Something that is built on a faulty foundation must be ripped down and then be correctly built. You scared??? Get a dog !!!...and save the insurance for yourself! We started that business...so how much of it do we control or own today??? Get real !!
