phucked up days don't mean **** to me...

    24 hours -- ain't nothing
    60 minutes --
of every second I could care less
    and I find myself hating
    you more
    180 dollars -- for what?
    2 outfits -- why?
    and stale candy
    from a 5 & Dime
    store

    ...So much of nothing...
    you roam the earth
    a waste -- half a man
    that can never
    truly stand tall
    on both feet
    ~to busy spreading all
    fours

    You do absolutely nada
    for your seed
    so little
    if anything
    less
    God would find
    it hard to believe
    that He created
    you in His image
    of righteousness
    because you're wrong
    and it's not that I'm
    right~
    it's just the fact that
    you have
    - no idea -
    of the significant
    role you should play
    in your
    growing daughter's
    life....

But what I see in you is INSIGNIFICANT
    reduced in size
by the very steps that you
    fail to make
    when responsibility
    opens the
    door --
    Summyr's hand
    you do not take

    Deeply felt

You hit home with this story of insignificance and irresponsibility. I can relate to this piece in more ways than you can imagine.

    you care deeply

i love this hate poem. (that's what i call mine anyway)
it shows how passionate you are about Summyr's
loss of the father she deserves in the man who doesn't
    deserve her.
    keep writing... poetry is therapy!

    Afri~

It's sad and unfortunate that there are a lot of guys who
    aren't capable of being MEN!

Thanks sista for sharing your thoughts!

    Wow! URN2MYSOUL

Sisah, I felt such a connection with this piece.
I've learned to FORGET what he does or doesn't do. The more I think about it the more it wears on my heart. The others feedback is so comforting. The support of others in similiar situations keeps us strong. We need to focus on the kids and teach our sons to be respossible for their seed and our daughters to be more sellective on their choices in men. I thought I had a husband who would NEVER shirk his duties as a father/husband, but HEY! people change. It's a pity the kids suffer and lose out for our selfishness. All they want and need is LOVE and that doesn't cost a thing. Thanks for your flow. Coco

    see that's exactly....

what i don't plan to do
    supply the seed
    to which my children
    materialize
    then not acknowledge
    their being
    to nuture myself...
    ********!!!

*i grew up fatherless and know the pain firsthand...had to learn on my own how to be a man...but in retrospect...he did teach me some things...he taught me how to do the opposite from him, and be a black king to my black queenz!*

And sista - you are correct - I will keep pushing; as the mommy & daddy, best friend, teacher, sibling etc. Whatever my daughter needs, I'll be just that & more!

One luv sista friend, thanx!! :D
