I shall rest under the veil of a name
Given to me before my conception
For the concept of me is more than
I could comprehend without the shade;

In my self actualization of life involving
My input is simply an exercise in futility
If I allow the dismal cloud of assumptions
To be the defining point of my true being;

I must journey past the broken hearts and
Constant disappointments of man to find
A place where I can rebuild, regroup and
Rekindle the fire ignited in me at my rebirth;

You see, my heart that bleeds of human
Libations can be torn apart by emotional
Daggers from others who have yet to know
What they desire from life and true love;

But if my heart bleeds the libations of life
Then there is no weapon formed against me
Simply because it is impossible to destroy
What is “hedge of protected” by God;

So I shall do more than just walk the path
But also love on HIM that made me by
Laying my head on his bosom and loving
HIM intimately as He desires of me today
