It's been said that the definition
of insanity is doing things the same way
    and expecting different results
You know, this makes me say,
    ****, I must be crazy
    Crazy for even trying
    Crazy for buying
    into that false belief
    that all will eventually
    be okay when
    essentially
    I've just been doing
    the same **** thing, evidently
See, this **** is on ricochet
    or something, you feel me
    **** I must be crazy
Friggin out of my **** mind
    Doing the one step forward
two steps boogie on your behind
    Shall we have this dance?
Come on, prance with me now
take a chance with me now,
I pressed fast forward, but life
    didn't advance with me now
    Keep doing the same moves
over and over into a frenzied pace
I'm dancing as fast as I can, but apparently,
not fast enough to win this race
I keep coming out an also ran
cause I'm just about all out
of the marbles I keep tripping over
    Over
    And Over
    And Over
    Again

    to and fro, let's prance

    Too crazy
    to change.....

    ...If you recognize it
you've already began to change it

    Brilliant piece sis...

    Love the repitition...which emphasized
    the theme of the poem
also love the energy you created
with the way you wove the words
together so tightly to create the
feeling of tension, urgency and frustration

This is definitely a slightly different style
...this piece had EDGE ~ love it

Sometimes we have to do things we've never done
to get things we never had...this is my motto
and you proved it in this peace...

    Much love,
    Sage

Yea, brotha Rich, I think we just get so comfortable that certain things become habit, even though we know doing them repeatedly is not good for us. Thank you for the kind reply to this.
"Sometimes we have to do things we've never done
to get things we never had..." So true sage, and thank you for reminding me of this, and for your praise sista poet.
Thank you triniti. I think a big part of my growth has been in just relaxing and allowing the flows to hit the paper. There was a time I would have thought these words and said to myself, nah I shouldn't actually write it that way. Much luv.

You have a way of illuminating basic truths that somehow seem to be obscured. This piece is a bright light into our consciousness, sister. Love it.

    sista watz..
you are definitely walking the edge with this one...and I like that..like a good jazz riff..where you know the melody, play it again and again and yet the notes keeping shifting..
think about it...you be shifting and changing, consciously and unconsciously, making music...creating...
