Under their influences
As we are gathered in their confluences
Not knowing the affluence of inflamed consequences
And
These consequences are distorting our rising sequences by
Building monuments and installing agenda of nothingness in our dome piece
Nothingness leads to excuses of why we
Can’t verbalize our native tongue
And
Can’t recognize our original script
We can’t feel the essence of her presence
And appreciate the thickness in her phenotype
Can’t salute to the command in her voice
We can’t submerge with our inner sensitivity
So we loss executive function
Instead we are cross-matching our genetic pool
Wondering how and why she’s got Indian in her family cause of her nice hair or fair skin
We still suffer from the effects of that lesion from our past
Instead we are comparing who push the latest whip
And who’s got the hottest chrome
Our men are still counting the number of skins they can testify to prove their manhood
Sisters are counting how many mics they’ve blessed in order to get a shout out
And still…
We are under their influences
Gathered in their confluences
We still can’t verbalize and idealize our native tongue
We continue to nurture that lesion from our past
Ooh natives of Alkebulan
Beware that the blood of the greatest Kings and Queens runs through your veins
Be cognizant and rebuke every fiber of commercial slavery
Because we are presented with suspect infomercial
That deteriorates the curvature of our legacy
