    Macaroni & cheese with Salmon.........................

1 2-3lbs. Salmon steak - let marinate in Teriaki sauce & lemon the night b4....

    - slice 1/2 bag of carrots (very thin) to mix in so you have some vegatables

    - do the same with one head of Broccoli (very thin slices)

you can prepare your Maccaroni & cheese the way you already do or:

    (what I Do is)

    - boil Maccaroni (but not until soft, let it remain a little hard as it will soften in the overn

    1 - Sharp Cheddar
    1 - Mild
    1 - Extra Sharp

    - all finely sliced & place in mixing bowl with 1/2 can of Evaporated milk (or milk of your liking) and 2 egg yolks.....(varies with number of mouths you are feeding, this makes one pan..........

    - preheat oven to 350 & place the Salmon inside for 30-40 minutes.................when done, chop up the salmon into small pieces.

    - pour half of Maccaroni & all of the carrotts, Salmon & broccoli in baking pan and pour half of the cheeze over it...then, mix well........

    - place in oven for 10 minutes
    - remove from oven pour in the rest of maccaroni & cover with the rest of the cheeze and let it bake for another 10-15 minutes.........

    and enjoy!!!!

LOL - MsInterpret's thread reminded me of this one from back in da diddaaaaaaaayyyy.

I still make it, but i have other variations of it now like the one i do with Chicken Cutlet, or just Veggies. One day i might get bold enough to try an all seafood pan.

The chicken sounds like it would be a good substitution for the salmon...as I am not a salmon fan at all.

yeah i like to experiment sometimes in the kitchen and this one was a homerun. Family and friends started asking me to make them a pan or two for Thanksgiving and Christmas to the point i had to start charging by the pan. Shoot, don't they know how much 3 blocks of kraft cheese cost's....& a 3lbs Salmon?

Yeah, and it is. I remember the first time i made it for a friend of mine and brought two pans of it over to her parent's house years ago. One was with salmon, the other with the chicken cutlet. The one with the chicken cutlet was the first thing on the table to disapear out of all the other foods. But, i noticed that the one with the salmon was still in the kitchen on the stove untouched. So i asked her why it wasn't put on the table with everything else and she said that her family doesn't eat seafood because of allergies. I looked at her like uhhhh, it wouldv'e been nice for you to let me know while you were watching me make it at my house so i wouldn't have wasted my time....lol

It was all good though cause i tore it up, later on after sun down when i got back home...

But since then, i make sure before i make it which one they want just to save time and energy...

As a matter of fact, i made this after holding my first "Destee.com fast" in the chat room one night. We all fasted and i sat in chat to help anybody out who may have been feeling weak or tempted....lol

We played music all day, talked and laughed too from the morning ti'll the early eve. I even think the state of the union with Farrakhan n'em was on. But once that sun went down......

They left me there talking to myself cause they was out. I think i remember feeling the chat room shaking as some of them went to get something to eat, as i held onto my desk trying to keep my monitor, printer and thangs from tipping over.......:rofl1:
