It won't be long,
Till summer's all gone
And the heat is on
In the coming fall

Will lingering birds ~
Prolong their stay
Ignore nature's call,
Deny southern jays

Procrastinating-
Seasons change-up pitch
Which can throw a sultry curve
That is often a hit

For insect and critter,
Continuity works...
Man, all the queerer
Begins to shirk

Pleasure craft masts
Must cruise the bay,
Should Indian summer
Have its way...
