somewhere out there
It is today
the day after yesterday
the day before tomorrow
and I see with new sight
as if I had lived blind
and today for the first time
my eyes have been opened

an epiphany revealed
like a beacon of light
a lighthouse shining bright
through-right thru the storms
of my life

and the clouds of despair
dissipate floating away
in tattered fragments of
past disappointments
headaches and smouldering
heartbreaks that leave me
free completely and in a state
of dissolving aftershocks

the last gasp of breath
pulled from my chest
wrenched from my lungs
and fading with the final
remnants of past earthquakes

today I hold my breath no longer
I breathe deeply and inhale
and fall into the sweet intoxication
of a new spring that blooms
behind your smile
my sun
that melted the winter frowns
and evaporated the icy tears
from my eyes

I exhale and embrace your touch
and feel beautiful and new
like a work of art exposed
at last to the public eye
beyond critical critique
beyond comparison totally unique
your fingers call my name
and whisper reassurance

...<I am here with you for you
you are the end of my search
the beginning of a new universe
yesterday’s history of separation
and loss and rejection is now
our colloquy of acceptance
our soliloquy of togetherness
the magnetism of our souls
locked in collapsing orbits
merge into a tomorrow of one-ness>...

My skin cooled and soothed
by your hands answer

...<you are my eve
my venus
my athena
my empress of light
that God pulled from my
broken rib of life
and reshaped into my perfect
counterpart
my comforter through the dark
endless night of bygone days
that strip away my sanity
and my faith>...

Today I can see
and though I have suffered long
I understand that the past
prepared me for you
is what made me and
the heartbreaks has finally shown me
that love
true love complete and unconditional
suffers long
bears all things
believes all things
endures all things
and through it
inspite of our flaws
we are perfect in love.
